I am one of those folks who isn’t against CG as long as it compliments or accentuates practical effects. It’s a matter of making the moviegoers mind believe the creature is there physically. I think the best use of this was Jurassic park. That T-Rex paddock scene shows how to do it. Ya have plenty of practical effects shots of an anamatronic T-Rex to make sure the moviegoers mind is past the uncanny valley and then ya throw in the cg Rex in certain parts cause by that point the moviegoer is in for the ride. Another good use is Grogu in the mandalorian. Practical puppet but with slight cg to animate parts of the face a bit smoother. Again people watching feels the creature is real and physical but doesn’t notice or care about the smaller details.

Some of the ideas for T3 and Salvation weren't bad it's just they couldn't get away from terminator chasing John to kill him. So in one way or another they keep serving you the same nonsense and that was great for part 1 and 2 but how many times are you gonna beat that dead horse.

SPOT ON! JAWS is a cult classic. I remember seeing this in the 70's in a theater so packed I had to sit on the floor in the isle. So many films these days are disrespected by lame remakes.

This is my favorite movie of all time, and I think it’s a genius masterpiece from every aspect. The only thing that ever bothered me was that Quint lost his grip, in pain, from an oxygen tank rolling on his fingers. That wouldn’t hurt. Especially for a working man like Quint.

Dude Bruce looks pretty real. I’ve seen sharks at the aquarium and seeing the puppet shark imposed side by side real shark footage used in the film sells my disbelief. I have to remind myself that certain scenes are puppet sharks. As for quint I love his character and his end tragic is a close mimic of captain Shan and Moby dick. A warning to anyone who thinks themselves a hero or main character and becoming a reckless moran.

The only thing they could do with Jaws is a new DBD chapter. A film remake is not a good idea.

You left out the true sequel- The Sarah Connor Chronicles- better than anything post T1, T2- absolutely amazing series and imo, serves as a true continuation

I actually support you fix, I love it. I also love how you contrast the scenes. T2 Terminator is clearly eyeballing Sarah Connor, just like the original T-800 did after getting up from tanker exploding. You see the machine staring down at the main character, and this time, instead of it being a soulless metal skeleton, T2 T-800 still has some of his learned humanity on his face, and that's the best contrast but in T1, the T-800's eyes pivot and FOCUS on Sarah, and that is kinda lost in the original T2. Your fix restores that and makes it an even better contrast. Also, you pointing out that we never see a bare T-800 speaking with Arnold's voice kinda killed me lmao. It's super true. It's like in the original Terminator, that tanker explodes and Arnold leaves the movie, his CHARACTER is still there, but him, he's out in all aspects.

I rewatched Jaws a few days ago. Not only does it *completely* hold up, I think it is a *perfect* film. So, so good.

I personally didn't have much faith in this film when it first came out as 1 - The trailer was very basic and 2 - James Wan's films went downhill for me when Insidious came out. When I finally watched this, I thought this was a instant classic and a fantastic new horror film that had a story I was interested in from start to finish. Plus Gabriel reminded me of the 80's horror icons we no longer get anymore minus Art the clown. I really hope a sequel doesn't happen though as I think it's perfect the way it is, ended perfectly.

Aliens was the first movie of the franchise I saw as a9 years old and it scared the shit out of me. Those xenomorphs will forever be the only true versions of xeno's so real to me it feels af if they actually exist and have haunted my nightmares as a child.

I think the john connor timeline could be a good terminator movie... it'd be a totally different war set in the present (2024)

T3 is watchable .. I enjoyed it a little. T4 salvation... It's on the cusp of being woke right before woke took over... I call it gae It's a gae movie and i resent the fk out of it because of that ... I hated salvation its a gae movie.

Grace burning out from over exhaustion from her augmented enhancements, were honestly the best aspect of the film.. The idea of it , was interesting.. So was the concept of Marcus in Salvation, he still had his human brain , heart , and lungs.. encased in a metal armored endoskeleton, that's a pretty wild concept for an infiltrator model .. and yet a pretty clever and terrifying tactic for Skynet to utilize. They're literally turning captured humans into hybrid Terminators, to hunt humans.. Wow.

The eye thing may be justified, remember that the T-1000 was hit repeatedly with a manually moved metal object, two of them in that area of ​​the face, not to mention that the T-1000 has more force than the 800 model.

You bring back jaws by setting it in the 1950s. You strip away technology and understanding of sharks and add a host of bad ideas and theories on how to combat the problem.
